Here’s Melissa with a beautiful tray of hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries, decorated with Valentine’s Day inspired candy hearts and white chocolate stripes!
Melissa started with these perfectly ripe, large strawberries and hand-dips each one in dark choclate made with the finest ingredients. Then she used a special chocolate tempering machine that heats the chocolate to the perfect temperature while gently turning it over to keep it from sticking and cooling.
Then Melissa finished these gourmet one-of-a-kind strawberries off with white chocolate stripes and/or pink, red and white candy hearts.
Unfortunately these delectable items are not available on-line, but stop by The Sister’s Sweet Shoppe if you’re close by to pick some gourmet treats for you or your Valentine’s Day Sweetheart
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Do you have any leftover Fruitcake from the Holidays? If so, try this incredibly scrumptious twist on the same old dessert by creating your own “Fruitcake Sundae!
Our Fruitcake Sundae consists of nothing-but-the-best Grandma’s Fruitcake slices on the bottom, followed by a few scoops of butter pecan ice cream, smothered in caramel sauce and then topped with whipped cream and sprinkles! We know what you’re thinking – “That looks fantastic! But, who ever has leftover fruitcake??”
We recently held a silent auction in our warehouse. Now I’m sure you’re thinking we were auctioning off our own products but really this was a homemade gingerbread house auction! And we were not the makers of these incredible gingerbread houses…high school students were the creators! All of the gingerbread houses were crafted by high school students from the local three Dublin High Schools here in Ohio, the houses were projects for the student’s food science classes. All together the students raised over $500 and donated all of their proceeds to The Ohio State School for the Blind. The school’s marching band is using the money to travel to the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day! Thank you Dublin High School students! And Good Luck to The Ohio State School for the Blind Marching Band!!
